Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) is Italy’s National Promotional Institution (NPI) and sovereign development bank. It is structured as a joint-stock company controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) along with minority stakes held by banking foundations.
CDP’s mission is to promote Italy’s economic growth by managing savings and investing in strategic sectors. CDP Ventures, a division within CDP, focuses on venture capital investments to support innovation and the development of startups in Italy.
