The Ministry of Regional Development and European Funds of the Republic of Croatia offers a broad set of support instruments designed to strengthen the capabilities and competitiveness of Croatian SMEs.
Its programmes include Smart Specialisation and Industrial Transition, which focus on enhancing entrepreneurs’ communication, digital, financial, marketing and management skills.
It also provides Internationalisation Support, helping SMEs expand into foreign markets through delegations, matchmaking opportunities, B2B events and information sessions.
Through the Integrator scheme, the Ministry supports SMEs in joining value chains and building long-term supplier relationships in strategic sectors.
Additional initiatives focus on improving the quality of entrepreneurial support institutions, with an emphasis on research and development (R&D), digitalisation and green business principles, particularly through strengthening the capacities of organisations in the BOND network.
Startups and SMEs can also benefit from business consulting and mentoring services at both early and later stages of development, as well as Innovations in S3, which helps companies build sustainable and resilient systems through process and business model innovation and employee training.
