About
The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) runs multiple programmes supporting startups and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Among others, PARP manages the Poland Prize programme. The Poland Prize is an initiative designed to attract foreign startups to establish operations in Poland, aiming to enrich the local startup ecosystem with diverse technologies and business practices. The programme offers the following services:
- Financial support: Grants of up to PLN 300 000 to assist in business setup and development.
- Soft landing assistance: Dedicated visa facilitation, concierge services for official and banking matters, and support in settling into the Polish market.
- Customised development plans: Individual acceleration programmes tailored to each startup's needs, including legal, consulting, design and mentoring services.
- Technical support: Expert guidance in technology development, including creating and testing a minimum viable product.
- Networking opportunities: Collaboration with corporates, small and medium-sized enterprises, public bodies and potential investors to facilitate business growth.
Programme Structure:
- Stage 1 – development: crafting a tailored individual development plan to prepare for the Polish market, including team building, networking, legal orientation and business development.
- Stage 2 – acceleration: intensive support to refine products or services, culminating in a “demo day” to present solutions to potential investors and partners.
By participating in the Poland Prize, foreign startups gain a comprehensive support system to successfully enter and thrive in the Polish market.
PARP also oversees the Scale UP – Start In Poland, a pilot programme focused on speeding up the development of startups. It is dedicated to micro or small enterprises that can get involved for three to six months. The programme offers advisory and mentoring support, as well as financial support. The acceleration process results in a product or service being prepared for commercialisation and includes cooperation with large companies that can then use that product or service.
