Description
Following the publication of a Market Study in March 2022 on Commercial Power Purchase Agreements (cPPA) and with the further support of the European Investment Advisory Hub and European Commission, this report proposes potential financial instruments and advisory solutions aiming to facilitate access to renewable energy cPPA for smaller/non-credit rated corporates. The key general features of proposed offtaker guarantee and subordinated debt instruments are presented as well as the concept of a web-based cPPA dedicated advisory platform. These proposals will aim to support investments into wind or solar renewable energy projects and offer smaller corporates an easier way to access sustainable energy at reliable cost.
