EIB advisory services under InvestEU

The Gender Finance Lab is an advisory initiative to improve access to finance for women entrepreneurs in the EU and increase female representation in the financial sector. It is an EIB Group programme targeting EU financial intermediaries, including commercial banks, fund managers and microfinance institutions.

Across Europe, financial institutions are essential partners in turning climate ambitions into tangible investments. Yet, as sustainability frameworks evolve and regulations tighten, banks face growing challenges in identifying, verifying and reporting on green investments. Financed by the InvestEU Advisory Hub, the Green Gateway is an EIB Advisory initiative that helps financial institutions assess the eligibility and impact of green projects.

The EMBRACE Advisory Platform is a new initiative which complements the Solidarity package developed by the European Investment Bank for EU Member States in response to the conflict in Ukraine. EMBRACE aims to help European Union Member States to better address the needs of Ukrainian refugees and host communities.

ADAPT is an advisory platform that aims at facilitating the deployment of technical and financial expertise to address specific investment and market needs and to accelerating the financing of climate adaptation investments that have the potential to strengthen the resilience of cities, infrastructure networks, coastal areas, river basins, food systems, forests and ecosystems and other activities vulnerable to climate change.

Our linear take-make-use-dispose model is no longer viable. We therefore need a transition to a circular economy. EIB experts provide tailored financial and technical advice for circular economy projects, which may later be financed by EIB or other partner financial institutions.

The STP – Road Safety Advisory as hosted by the European Investment Advisory Hub (the Hub), is a gateway to advisory services to support the uptake of funding and financing opportunities for projects that improve road safety. It promotes road safety as an area of transport investment offering guidance and support to potential project promoters from the public and private sectors.

Social outcomes contracting is an innovative form of procuring social services based on outcomes rather than outputs. Social outcomes contracting offers new opportunities for combining and directing public and private resources towards positive social impact. To support countries wishing to develop outcomes-based approaches, the Advisory Hub hosts the Advisory Platform for Social Outcomes Contracting - a joint initiative of the European Commission and the European Investment Bank Group.
