C3 webinar 3, 5 October 10:00 - 11:45 CET. The Circular City Strategy – a guide for the circular transition in cities

Local governments play an essential role in guiding their cities into circular action and overcoming the main barriers to change.

But how exactly can cities lead the circular economy transition?

One of the most important steps is developing a holistic and cohesive Circular City Strategy, one that provides information and direction to enable local stakeholders, both within and outside the municipality, to get involved and engage in the process.

In this third of a series of Circular City Centre (C3) webinars, representatives from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Circle Economy will present the third C3 guidance document on how cities can develop a circular city strategy

The webinar will also look at the current development and use of circular economy strategies across Europe, considering strategies at the national, regional and local level, drawing on the work of JASPERS

Cities that have already started working on their circular economy strategy will present their experiences and share relevant lessons learnt. Three EU cities will join the discussions and tell how they are walking the path towards circularity.

This webinar will present also an update on the C3 Circular City Advisory programme and its current engagements with cities to showcase how this support can help cities develop and implement a circular city strategy.

The webinar is targeted to city representatives and other stakeholders who are interested in accelerating the circular economy transition. Moreover, the webinar series is open to all who want to learn more about the different opportunities offered by the circular economy.
